Disco Monolítico is the new series of Hominis. 

Why is it a series and not a collection? 

Because of the way in which the objects are built, in a collection the objects are repeated in the same way, in this series there will be objects that can be repeated, but not in the same way, there will be some similar and others not so much, unique pieces that are built around a common axis that is the Disco Monolítico.

This Disco Monolítico is known as the Disc of Death, found in Teotihuacan at the base of the Pyramid of the Sun, its symbolic representation is believed to allude to rebirth. 

I have always been fascinated by Mesoamerican history and art, but I had avoided using it in my work because I do not find the literal use of the pre-Hispanic image interesting or propositive, so this time I decided to isolate the element that I find most attractive in this piece and mix it with my aesthetic vision.

This piece is made of sterling silver with the highest quality purity .925, and a raw oxidized matte finish.
